Deal could pave way for tear-down of Montecito's Miramar Hotel
Five years after developer Rick Caruso bought the long-vacant property, he's gotten a controversial concession from Santa Barbara County supervisors that he said can help speed transformation of the beachfront landmark into a new five-star hotel.
