The deep connections to our ancestral roots, the land of our birth, lurk deep into our psyche. It is the link to our ancestors and the ties that binds us to Mother Earth. When we find our ancestral home devastated due to environmental neglect and abuse for short-term political and economic gains, we are deeply wounded and mourn the death of our homeland.
