Does Having Poor Taste Make You Fat?

The new study, published in the Archives of Disease in Childhood, seems to indicate that obese children and adolescents, as compared to their lean counterparts, have taste buds that are far less sensitive. Obese children in the study had a significantly more difficult time identifying the different tastes and taste intensity. The researchers suggest that this difference in taste sensitivity may be an explanation for the development of obesity.
