LONGWELL Green Reserves clinched runners-up spot in the Premier Division of the Bristol Premier Combination with a hard-fought 2-0 home win against champions Mendip United at Shellards Road.

It was still a memorable season for Mendip, who completed a notable double with a 2-1 victory against Old Sodbury in the final of the Bristol Premier Combination as well as reaching the semi-finals of the GFA Senior Amateur Trophy, in which they lost 1-0 at Highridge, the eventual winners.
